Notice of Exemptions

Original signatures are required on Notices.

You will need to submit at least 3 copies (one original for posting, one for our office and one for the Dept of Fish & Wildlife). If you would like a return copy, please submit an extra copy or one can be purchased for $0.75 per page.

There are no Fish and Wildlife fees for filing a Notice of Exemption, however; there is a County Clerk processing fee of $50.00.

Notice of Determination

A Notice of Determination represents a Negative Declaration, Mitigated Negative Declaration, or an Environmental Impact Report.

Original signatures are required on Notices and if applicable, No Effect Form from the Department of Fish & Wildlife.

You will need to submit at least 3 copies (one original for posting, one for our office and one for the Dept of Fish & Wildlife). If you would like a return copy, please submit an extra copy or one can be purchased for $0.75 per page.

Present the Negative Declaration OR Environmental Impact Report and submit the following Fish and Wildlife fees:

  1. 1. Negative Declaration or Mitigated Negative Declaration - $2,354.75 (CA Code of Regulations Title 14 Section 753.5(4)).
  2. -or-
  3. 2. Environmental Impact Report - $3,271.00 (CA Code of Regulations Title 14 Section 753.5(4)).

Fish and Wildlife fees must always be paid on a Notice of Determination unless:

  1. There is a Certificate of FEE EXPEMPTION issued by the Department of Fish and Wildlife determining the project will have no effect on fish and wildlife. The Certificate of FEE EXEMPTION will be attached to the notice. Note: The fee exemption only applies to the Fish and Wildlife fees – it does not cover the $50.00 County Clerk fee. (CA Code of Regulations Title 14 Section 753.5(c) and 753.5(e)(7)).
  2. The fees were previously paid on an earlier date and you submit a copy of the Fish and Wildlife receipt showing payment was received. (CA Code of Regulations Title 14 Section 753.5(e)(3)).

All Other Notices

Notice of Availability, Notice of Public Hearing, Notice of Intent and all other Notices are also posted in our office.

There is no fee for posting these notices.
